My Philosophy

A Shannon O’Neil Photography Couple believes in the importance and significance of their wedding day. The location of their wedding is part of their story. It was where they grew up, the family vacation spot, or where they fell in love. They are head over heels for one another and aren’t afraid to show it. The perfect date night is staying in and watching their favorite movie together with a big bowl of popcorn. And he let her choose the movie even though it was technically his turn. They don’t sweat the small stuff, because at the end of the day they still have each other.

My passion is to showcase your love story as the day unfolds. You are more to me than a client. You are close friend, and I care about your history together. I am there from the first moments of your day; the buttoning of your wedding gown, the look on your face when your maid of honor – your best friend – fluffs your veil so it falls perfectly. And when you finally take that long awaited walk to see your HUSBAND for the first time, you know there is nothing posed about this moment. In that one second “The I can’t eat, can’t sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, World Series kind of thing” is not only felt between the two of you but is perfectly frozen in time.

I believe in not influencing your day, but framing those organic quiet moments when you think no one else is watching. And above all else I am as invested in you – your history, your story – as you are in me. When you receive your wedding portraits, you will be able to remember that special day as if it were yesterday.
